The Heart Of Gaming

The Heart Of Gaming london arcade

The Heart Of Gaming is basically the UK’s closest thing to a real Japanese Game Center. They are specialized in fighting games, but lately the dancing and shooting communities are growing there too. And that’s not all, because there are countless Xbox 360 and PS3 (and retroconsoles) available to host your own console fighting!

One noticeable thing about the HOG is that it features quite a lot arcade machines once belonged to now-defunct London Funland.

Yes, but what about Racing Games? Well, they’re eventually getting into it. At the time of writing they only have a Daytona USA twin-cabinets, but they’re planning to embrace the racing community alongside the fighting, dancing and shooting ones, with new machines and monthly tournaments.

One peculiar thing about The HOG is that you don’t pay for every single game. You just step in, pay an entry fee (from £5 to £10, depending on the day and time), and start play whatever you want for how long you want until, at some point, they kick you out (everybody needs to sleep).
