The two Japanese arcade giants, Sega and Bandai Namco Entertainment, recently host a one-of-a-kind event for all the fans of their latest arcade racers, Initial D Arcade Stage 8 Infinity and Wangan Midnight Maximum Tune 5.
The event, called Gekiso Festival Maximum Stage [激走祭マキシマムチューン], was held at Bandai Namco headquarters in Shinagawa, Tokyo on September 20. It basically just consisted in a series of showoffs of both games, with special guests, and the producers of both racing series doing some talking about the development process.
All the attendants were also given a special promotional gift, consisting in two unique IC cards for the the games.
They came attached to a special flyer. Here’s a close up of the merchandise.
Bandai Namco, also took the chance to announce their latest update for WMMT5 called, surprise surprise, Wangan Midnight Maximum Tune 5 DX. Here’s a video of the live announcement.
